Maritime History

The Caribbean was once fiercely fought over by the colonial powers and the waters teemed with pirates and smugglers. Many of its museums have a maritime theme and tell the story of slavery and piracy. 

Naval Past

Bermuda consists of 181 islands ringed by coral reefs. See the pink-sand beaches of Astwood Park and explore the well-preserved old naval fort at St George's, now fuill of cafes and shops.

Spice Islands

From the Bajan-style cuisine of Barbados to its famous spicy jerk chicken and saltfish fritters, the Caribbean serves up diverse dishes for every palate. It's been influenced by everything from Chinese to Indian and more.

Bask in the Bahamas
